Oh, Nita doesn't have to ask for it or even want it. The quests are meant to be opaque. She might be sent to meet with somebody and accept a thing from them, and that person/thing helps advance her personal plot/tether issue. Especially if in this case not dealing with it will hurt her usefulness to the Ringmaster!

This is one reason I ask for themes and things the player wants to work on in their app :)
